The Hotel Payarin, managed for over 40 years by the Costalla family, is located in the quiet Aimoni hamlet, just 3 km from Ormea. It has 15 rooms with bathroom, for a total of about 50 beds.
RESTAURANT
The bar offers its guests cold dishes, sinoiere snacks, aperitifs, sandwiches of all kinds.
The restaurant proposes typical dishes of Upper Val Tanaro, typical Ligurian-Piedmont cuisine. Ous specialties are the tortillas stuffed with wild herbs, the ravioli of cin, the polenta saracena, local wild meat with alpine cheeses and sweet cakes of our berry tarts.
In the week-end evenings we offer a wide choice of tasty pizzas.
By reservation, we serve barbecue meat in the summer dehor, and fish based menu on Saturdays and Sundays.
HOTEL
Modernly fitted for all kind of needs, it is endowed with every comfort: rooms with bathroom and terrace, spacious halls with TV lounge, game lounge and bar. Outdoor there is a large garden and a roof terrace from which guests can enjoy a magnificent view of Ormea and Val Tanaro.
For its particular location, it is also a great stop along the route of Ormea’s Balcony and the Alta Val Tanaro Tour. The Hotel, with 15 rooms with bathroom for a total of about 30 beds, offers a stay surrounded by nature in a healthy climate and a peaceful enviroment.
CAMPERS AREA
Outside the hotel is available a free layover area for campers.
HORSE RIDING
To fully enjoy the beauties of the place there’s nothing like a nice horse ride, suitable to the more experienced but also to newbies, always followed by an qualified equestrian companion. Below we suggest a few possibilities as examples, as well as remind you the availability of the Ormea stables with which the hotel has an agreement.
The equestrian companion Carlo Costalla, enabled FISE and by the Piedmont Region, offers the opportunity to spend wonderful days on horseback and riding lessons for those who want to approach the upper Val Tanaro, from Ormea’s Balcony to the slopes of Pizzo d’Ormea and Monte Mongioie.

We also organize horse riding with ponies for children up to 12 years. For horses owners are organized by booking one or several days of trekking with a mounted guide. Furtherly we provide shelter for visitor’s horses passing through.
STABLES
During July and August, at Aimoni, walks with ponies and donkeys are organized for children from 4 to 12 years.
